Book 12 is in the USA.

I just got an exciting email from an anonymous person in Georgia, USA about book 12, which is apparently doing very well! I seriously love hearing about these books, because I forget all about this project for weeks or months at a time and then surprise! Awesome news!

Here's what the email says:

Hello! Book 12 is still alive and thriving! It was given to my brother in law in Beijing and he brought it back to me in Georgia, USA. So far it has been all over Holland, France, Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany and Italy. I plan on passing it on as soon as I find the right person!

Wow. It really means a great deal to me that people are participating in this project. Thanks so much anonymous! :)

BOOK TEN is still alive!

I just heard some exciting news from San Francisco, everyone! Book ten still exists. I received an email notification this morning, telling me that an anonymous commenter wrote:

I encountered Book 10 while sleeping overnight on the floor of a United Airlines terminal in San Francisco, CA last March. It has been a year and I've been unorganized so I have yet to make my addition. It is on my list of priorities and I plan to release back into the wild very shortly. I hope the rest of your project is on track.

Hey thanks, anonymous. Last thing I heard from book ten was that it was in Vancouver, Canada. In 2009!!

If anybody has any more info on the other nineteen books, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks again, anonymous, for keeping my hopes alive. :)

Book 12 is still running strong! I am so excited about this news, guys! An anonymous commenter said this:

Hey! I see that the blog hasn' been updated in a while. Anyway, I got this book in Madrid from an Italian friend from Barcelona. It has travelled with me to Beijing (China) and it is about to be given to my Chinese friend.

I hope these are good news!

Cheers!

The last thing I had heard about book twelve was that it was in Vancouver...look how far it's traveled! Thanks so much, anonymous, for the good news from Madrid!

wow, i love surprises like this e-mail! book nine has re-appeared on the map!
if you remember, i mailed this little guy to france months ago!

i got this e-mail today from an anonymous french man:

ok, I received this book months ago. As I'm not really organized, I put it in a corner of my room, in Rennes, France. I had to work hard this year. I wrote a fuckin 120 pages historic work on an evangelistic newspaper. During that time, I often had a look to this book, thinking about what could I wrote in it. last week, I've been to London. I left it there, in the hands of a good friend of mine. The fact is that, 30 minutes before leaving this crazy city, I didn't know what to write. So I wrote that I didn't know what to write...
And sorry, I've entered the blog after arriving in France, so I didn't take any picture of me with the book.
That was a good experience. Enjoy. Hope the book 9 to reach Canada again.

thank you anonymous (who i actually know!) for passing it on!!
:)

and whoever finds this thing in London, please know there are three more in your lovely city... let's get the ball rolling again with these books!

i love hearing from you guys!

March Update

Hey there, everybody!
It's been around a month since I have sent my twenty little notebooks out into the wild. Thus far, I have heard from maybe half of them. I am so proud.
:)
Seriously, though, I hope that everybody is enjoying the project as much as I am. It is extremely exciting for me to know that they are out there in Norway, England, USA, Mexico, Australia, Germany...and so many other places. I believe one is on its way to Japan - thanks Marisol!
My plan is this: if this project continues to be successful and most (if not all) make it home to me eventually, I want to do another larger scale project involving all of you.
If you are interested in participating in round 2, please e-mail me at finditandpassiton@gmail.com.

Have a wonderful day, and please keep me updated on my little books!

PASS IT ON - the blog

Have you found a notebook?

I have released 20 of them "into the wild". They are empty, other than instructions inside the front cover, and a mailing address in the back.
I am hoping that they will eventually make their way back into my hands, so I can continue an ongoing art project.
As I will have no idea what happens to them in the meantime, I have created this blog.

There are 20 other entries in this blog. Each one is numbered. Please choose the entry that corresponds with the number at the front of the book you have found, and write a comment, saying where you found the book, and where you left it.

Be sure to include an e-mail address, or another way for me to contact you, and I will personally notify you when the book is returned to me.
If you don't want to make your e-mail public, you can also e-mail me at

finditandpassiton@gmail.com.

If you like, you can also e-mail me photos of yourself with the book, or photos of where you found or are going to leave the book. I will post them here as well.

Thank you for participating in my project!
xoxo - passitongirl

If and when the books are returned to me, I will post photos here.
